"Nothing hurts quite like beauty.

The pursuit of beauty isn't pretty. Bodies are pummeled, prodded, taped, tracked, sprayed and simonized; they are defaced, effaced or erased -all in the name of beauty."

my random favorites function selected this image for my profile today, and i just thought... i had to come back and say, i see irony in the model selection being of a traditionally-attractive female.

of course i understand the shortage of harelipped/slope-browed/otherwise "compromised" models. they would be most fitting for the... procedures.

but then, i guess, it's the "already beautiful" ones who would be most neurotic.
